I'm really happy with the level of discipline in Sally's classes. I think it's great for kids to work persistently at something until they've learned it, and Sally has a lovely manner with them.

‘Sally’s enthusiasm in teaching us Fully Growns with Set Bone Structure dancing skills is a great experience for anyone unwilling to resign to a sedentary life-style and a premature loss of ambition! Sally was approachable and completely understanding and accommodating of my daughters needs. She shows great warmth towards her students (and us parents) and a genuine love of what she does. My daughter (now nearly 4) loves Miss Sally and her ballet lessons. I can't recommend her highly enough.

The lessons are fun and interesting, and the routines are creative and enjoyable to learn and perform. It always feels a happy environment when you walk in, because the children (and adults) want to be there, and enjoy what they do. Both my daughter and I have learned a lot in the time we have been with Sally and made lots of progress. Thoroughly recommended for all ages from 2.5 to 60+!

Mari Pryce -- 5 star My daughter goes to ballet, tap and modern classes with Sally Gartell and has done since May 2013. Daisy absolutely loves going as Miss Sally is so friendly and approachable and all the children love nattering away to her. At first Daisy was really shy but Sally's dance classes have helped build her confidence and the dance classes also help with basic maths (you wouldn't believe all the counting they have to do!) and also helps their rhythm and timing (which can be helpful if you ever want your child to play a musical instrument or sing). It's just lovely to see all the little children dressed in their plum uniform excitedly running into the hall ready to dance. I am so pleased that we have Sally Gartell Academy of Dance on our doorstep!

Miss Sally has given my two daughters, now ages 15 and 17, 10 years of extremely high standard teaching in Modern and Tap. However, much more than being just a fantastic dance teacher who can motivate, praise, discipline when necessary and connect to their emotional needs, Miss Sally has been the best possible role model that my daughters could have had. She has instilled positive attitudes to their bodies, encouraging healthy habits and giving sensible advice with regard to exercise and diet. This has given them both great confidence and self-respect. When they were young, Miss Sally knew how to interact and care for them, she gained their respect and as they grew older she was able to alter her response to them and her patience and understanding enabled her to deal with all of the changes that they went through as they grew up. As I write this, I am amazed by Miss Sally and feel that she sounds too good to be true! However, this is my honest opinion and if you are privileged enough to be taught by Miss Sally you will find that this is the complete truth. She has a wonderful gift for teaching and I know dozens of other parents that would write a very similar testimonial and I must say it is an honour to do this for her.
